Of course, it’s not always easy to implement an entire new division to a company. Internal Amazon emplyees have reported some tension and difficulty in the process to create Luna and new games.

“Though we haven’t consistently succeeded yet in AGS, I believe we will if we hang in there.” – Andy Jassy

The spotlight in on Jazzy now that he’s taking Bezos’ CEO position in the summer. Bezos took Amazon in to the world of video games back in 2012. The company spent billions on two big-budget games that flopped pretty badly. They’ve also cancelled a handful of other projects.

They’re not the only big company to struggle entering the gaming world. Google recently shut down its game development studios. We’re hoping Amazon Studios can enter the market and start to produce some quality games.

According to internal employee reports, Amazon Studios has struggled with a “bro culture.” Of course, Amazon will likely fix the issues moving forward so it doesn’t interfere with its new, invigorated plan to enter the gaming space.

Amazon’s appointed head of Amazon Studios, Frazzini, has never made a video game before. However, Frazzini is confident in his team’s ability to improve and learn as they go.

Making great games is hard, and we’re not going to get everything right.”
