Lake is a narrative-based Indie adventure game developed by Gamious and released September 1, 2021. Lake at its core is very cozy, relaxing, and overall offers a great escape from the busy stressful feeling of everyday life. The game is available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC
Lake is set in 1986 in beautiful Providence Oaks, Oregon. You play as Meredith Weiss a forty-something-year-old woman who has made her return from the big city back to her quiet hometown of Providence Oaks. Within the return, Meredith changes from a busy career at a software company to take her dad’s spot as the local mail carrier.
While Meredith’s stay back in her hometown is only two weeks you will run into plenty of familiar faces as well as a good amount of new people as well. In Lake, it is truly up to you who you decide to talk with and or befriend. If you play your cards right you may even be able to start a romantic relationship.
The best part about it all is there are no right or wrong answers in Lake, simply what you want to happen. But whatever does end up happening at the end of your two-week stay you will have a decision to be made. Will you return to the hustle and bustle of big city life and the demanding software career or will you stay in the beautiful, rustic town she grew up in all that time ago.
