Although the traditional 5v5 game mode on Summoner’s Rift is the staple of League of Legends, many players love to try out new game modes and take a break from traditional gameplay. Over the years, Riot Games has introduced a handful of fun, easy-going game modes. The one that truly takes the cake for me is ARURF.

What Is ARURF? Everything You Need To Know 1

What is ARURF?

ARURF (all random ultra rapid fire) is a featured game mode in League of Legends that revolves around intense, fast-paced action. Mana costs are eliminated and ability cooldowns are lowered by a whopping 80%!

That’s right, an ability with a 10-second cooldown is reduced to 2 in this fiesta of a game mode.

ARURF isn’t the first game mode released by Riot. Before it came many others including Ascension, Hexakill, Nexus Siege, and many, many more.

Although URF was the original fast-paced game mode, there quickly become a meta of broken champions that were abused over and over again.

Riot released some champions who were getting banned repeatedly. Because of this, Riot decided ARURF was the best course of action and create an “all random” version of URF where players couldn’t pick their champions. ARURF was born!

the craziness of All random ultra rapid fire

ARURF has quickly become one of the most popular featured game modes in League of Legends. The fact of the matter is, ARURF is very, very fun. The fast-paced, intense gameplay feels like regular League of Legends on steroids.

The game mode inevitably makes some champions stronger than others, but the all random aspect of it gives players a chance to play champions they might not usually get around to.

When playing all random ultra rapid fire, there are new combos and ability chains that aren’t possible in regular League of Legends. For instance, Zed can use his Q/E combo multiple times in URF before his shadow disappears. Watch the above video for some crazy outplay ideas you can try out on your own.

All of these elements together make for some super fun gameplay that is addicting and fair.
