EA To Bring Back College Football Game

After many long years EA is finally bringing back a College football game!

The last NCAA game to be made was 2013 and many people feared it would never return. Lucky for us Daryl Holt, EA Sports vice president, and general manager let us know that EA would be returning with EA Sports College Football. The name change shouldn’t effect the game too much but is of some note.

Fans are also a big reason we are actually getting college football back. In an interview with ESPN Daryl Holt said “As we look for the momentum that we’re building on in sports, it all starts with the passion of our fans and the opportunities of what they are interested in,” Holt said. “I don’t think there’s a visit where I go outside wearing a piece of EA Sports-branded apparel that someone doesn’t go, ‘Hey, when is college football coming back?'”

It is also notable that even though we are getting college football games back, EA going forward wont include the names, images or likenesses of real college players. This is due to the pretty well known NCAA rules that prohibit athletes from selling their NIL rights while in college. Although it is expected those rules will finally be changing within the coming year to everyone delight.

The game doesn’t have a release date or even close to one. Everything is just starting in development and likely won’t be known for quite some time. Either way, it is super exciting to know that one is actually being worked on and before too long we will finally have a College Football game back in our lives!
