CD Projekt Red announced today (3/21/2022) that they have a new Witcher game in the making. A New Saga Begins gives a brief rundown of what to expect. The name of the post alone among other things has many speculating that this will indeed not be Witcher 4 but a new story all together.
The series will be making a change as CD Projekt Red has partnered with Epic Games and will be using Unreal 5 as the base of the game. CDPR explains this marks the “beginning of a multi-year strategic partnership with Epic Games,” and will “cover not only licensing but technical development of Unreal Engine 5.”
While many people may not have the best taste in their mouth from CDPR’s last game Cyberpunk2077 it’s hard not to be excited about a new Witcher game. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt came out a long seven years ago back in 2015 and saw huge success even getting its own show on Netflix.
While we still don’t know all that much we are beyond excited to hear the news of a New Witcher Game being in the works and can’t wait to find out more!
