Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok is a 40-hour expansion set to release in Mid March. The trailer shows us we get to play as Eivor, fighting in a realm of fire and ice against mythic enemies.
Eivor will fight his way through the nordic realms to free his son from imprisonment using divine powers and ascended combat abilities.
Valhalla is already a massive game with a few expanions including Wrath of the Druids and the Siege of Paris. Dawn of Ragnarok will be the final expansion to complete the game.
Ubisoft sure knows how to get us hyped with gorgeous trailers. We assume the new 40-hour story will showcase Odin’s past and how it affected Eivor’s timeline.
Ubisoft notes that Dawn of Ragnarok will be “the most ambitious expansion in franchise history.” That’s one way to get us excited.
When Is Dawn of Ragnarok’s Release Date?
Dawn of Ragnarok will launch on March 10, 2022 and will be a seperate purchase from the main game.
It’s coming to PC, Amazon Luna, Google Stadia, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
How Much Does Dawn of Ragnarok Cost?
Dawn of Ragnarok will cost $40 and will not be included in the Season Pass.
Ubisoft also announced a series of free “Crossover Stories” that will feature Kassandra from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Kassandra’s appearance is part of a crossover that actually spans both games. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey players will get a new free story, “Those Who Are Treasured,” in which Kassandra or Alexios — having found the immortality-granting Staff of Hermes Trismegistus at the end of the game’s story — travel to the island of Korfu as they wrestle with the question of what to do with their newfound longevity. In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, “A Fated Encounter” will bring Eivor to the Isle of Skye in Scotland, where they’ll cross blades with Kassandra.
