Another week down means Destiny LCS player of the week. With so many teams close in the standings the real race for playoffs is fully underway. One team that may not be at the top of the playoff list is Immortals. The team started week 8 sitting in 7th and ended there again but this time only one game back of that sweet sweet normal bracket for the top 6.
A large part of Immortals huge 3-0 weekend was Destiny. The man managed to only die 4 times across all three games while being on the engage support. Not only that but Destiny helped in large part to make the games look very bot dominant from their side.
Not only did Immortals have a massive 3-0 weekend but they also managed to do it over 3 opponents all higher in the standings. 100 Thieves and EG have been talked about as the best teams this split but both fell to IMT. Most importantly however was the win over Dignitas. Dig currently sit in the 6th spot and is just one game ahead of IMT. With this huge win, Immortals pull that spot even closer and have high hopes going into the final week of the LCS.
Back to the main man himself though, Destiny managed an %80 KP throughout all three games and even went deathless in the game against EG. While it was pretty known how good Destiny’s hook champions are such as Thresh and Nautilus, it was very nice seeing him on a champion like Rakan still manage to get great engages without throwing away his life.
It is great to see a support earning LCS player of the week and Destiny truly does seem to be a massive part of his team’s success. I for one will be cheering for IMT going into week 9 as I feel like they probably are just a better team than Dignitas right now. Either way week 9 is set to be action-packed and really matter in the grand scheme of everything. congrats to Destiny LCS player of the week!
