With the Play-In Stage finally over 4 teams made it out and set the stage for the Worlds 2020 Group Stage. The four teams to join the other top teams in the world are Team Liquid from the LCS, PSG Talon from the PCS, LGD Gaming from the LPL, and last but not least the Unicorns of Love from the LCL. This is also the first time an LCL team has made it into Worlds group stage so big congrats to them and their region.

Group A

Group A consists of G2 Esports, Team Liquid, Suning, and Machi Esports. This group seems to be a group of life at least for G2 Esports who should be able to handle the competition and come out on top even after not such a consistent season. We have the group going as followed.

  • 1. G2 Esports (LEC)
  • 2. Team Liquid (LCS)
  • 3. Suning (LPL)
  • 4. Machi Esports (PCS)
Worlds 2020 G2 Esports

Group B

Group B happens to have some powerhouse junglers including the best jungler in the world JDG Kanavi. With that being said we expect JD Gaming to be the victor of this group while the other fight for 2nd place. The other teams attempting to get in will be Rogue, PSG Talon, and finally Damwon Gaming. Here is how we have this group going down.

  • 1. JD Gaming (LPL)
  • 2. Damwon Gaming (LCK)
  • 3. PSG Talon (PCS)
  • 4. Rogue (LEC)
Worlds 2020 JD Gaming

Group C

Group C will most likely be the battle of the bot lanes. With big-name teams all throughout this group Gen. G esports, Fnatic, TSM, and LGD Gaming each team clearly wants to win and prove themselves on the world stage. While Gen. G should be an almost certain pick at making it out the rest is up for debate. Here is what we think the group will end up looking like.

  • 1. Gen. G Esports (LCK)
  • 2. TSM (LCS)
  • 3. Fnatic (LEC)
  • 4. LGD Gaming (LPL)
Worlds 2020 Gen. G Esports

Group D

Finally, we have group D and the two teams coming out of this group are almost already certain without even seeing a single game played. Top Esports and DRX are bound to both make it out of this group being debatably the best teams in the world. Unicorns of Love and FlyQuest will join them but liking just be competing from 3rd.

  • 1. Top Esports (LPL)
  • 2. DRX (LCK)
  • 3. FlyQuest (LCS)
  • 4. Unicorns of Love (LCL)
Worlds 2020 Top Esports

We are super excited for Worlds to officially start and are very thankful it’s here at all. We know 2020 has been a rough year and we hope everyone is managing the best they can. Hopefully, we can all sit back and watch some good quality League of Legends to brighten our moods. Be sure to tell us what you think the group stages will look like and who is your favorite to win it all. Obviously, check back after group stages for our knockout round predictions as well, and as always check out the rest of our site here for more exciting and fun updates from around the gaming world.
