Best Games Of 2020

With 2020 being such a crazy year many people turned to gaming to try and brighten their days. With plenty of solid games coming out or just becoming popular let’s take a look at, in our opinion, the best games of 2020.

Among Us

While the game didn’t come out this year it definitely became popular, often being the most-watched game on Twitch. Not only were battle harden gamers enjoying Among Us but the game was also getting a ton of attention to the more casual nongaming people of the world.

The game itself is really pretty simple and I think that in part is why the game was so popular. Obviously, that’s not the only reason but it allowed for friends of all backgrounds to play together. Even more when you add in the fact that there is a free version of the game for your phone.

Best Games Of 2020 1

It shouldn’t be any surprise to see Among Us on our list of best games of 2020. With the game being so popular people have been coming up with fun new ways to play which have kept it fresh. It will also be getting a new map very soon! We can’t wait to be able to play the new map and see what other fun ways people think to play.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Another game the has to be on almost every best games of 2020 list is Animal Crossing: New Horizons. New Horizons was another game that captured the hearts of both hardcore gamers as well as the more casual.

best games of 2020

The game had an almost perfect timing coming out just as the majority of lockdowns throughout the world were going in place. With so many people stuck at home, the New Horizons became one of the main ways people were enjoying their free time.

The new multiplayer aspect of the game also helped it a great deal. Having a good way to connect and play with friends was what everyone wanted and New Horizons was there at the perfect time.

DOOM Eternal

On the different end of the spectrum, we have DOOM! DOOM is an in your face shooter that is always fun. Eternal was no different. A great soundtrack and fun gameplay keep us coming back.

best games of 2020

Eternal is a super-fast game that definitely gets the heart going. You also get to destroyed demons with some awesome new upgraded guns and abilities. DOOM was great and Eternal just does even more to be a better game.

best games of 2020

DOOM is also a game that brings back some fun memories for many gamers. This year has made us all wish for better days so we felt DOOM Eternal had to be on our lists of the best games of 2020.

Call Of Duty: Warzone

Call Of Duty is a seemingly unending franchise. While the quality of the games has been here and there Warzone is truly a great game. The battle royal is quite possibly the best of its genre and with the said genre being so huge this year we felt Warzone had to be on our lists of the best games of 2020.

best games of 2020

Like Among Us Warzone did a very good job of capturing attention on Twitch. While that doesn’t make the game popular on its own much of the gaming world tunes into Twitch to see what games are worth playing at the time.

best games of 2020

The solid gunplay as well as plenty of replayability is what makes the game so good. I also personally love seeing sponsored tournaments within games as they often bring excitement to the game and allow everyone to see peak gameplay. Warzone is also going to have continued support along with Black Ops Cold War.

Half-Life: Alyx

Quite possibly one of the best VR games ever made Half-life: Alyx was a guarantee when it comes to any best games of 2020 list. Being fans of VR ourselves that was even more so for our list. Half-Life: Alyx was a long-awaited addition to the Half-Life series and is set between Half-Life and Half-Life 2.

best games of 2020

You play as Alyx on a mission to seize a superweapon belonging to the alien Combine. The story is very well written and the combat is great. There’s not much to dislike about the game and it truly has some of the best graphics ever seen in VR.

best games of 2020

If you haven’t played this game we highly recommend it. Half-Life: Alyx actually became the highest rated VR game on Steam and has great ratings all around.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Another great game from 2020 is Spider-Man: Miles Morales. We all love a good superhero game and Spider-Man is quite possibly one of the best superhero games we’ve ever gotten. With a great story and an amazing city to explore the fun is endless.

best games of 2020

There is plenty to do in the game and even the smallest of tasks can feel huge and influential to your game. Not only is the gameplay good but Insomniac also did a good job of talking about real issues in our world some people may not like this but, the reality is there are plenty of problems in the world that need to be fixed. Bringing attention to those things can only be helpful.

best games of 2020

If you like Spider-Man this is definitely a game worth playing. Anyone who reads our content knows I love two things mainly superheroes and Horror games. So Spider-Man: Miles Morales had to be on the list of best games of 2020!

Best Games Of 2020

If you haven’t played all of these games you definitely should! We hope your 2020 wasn’t too bad and hopefully we can all have a great 2021. Let us know of any of your other favorite games from 2020 that we may have missed.
