Bethesda is giving off some real Tomb Raider vibes with its new teaser for an Indiana Jones game. The teaser seems to show the first of a new Lucasfilm Games label.

Todd Howard and Machinegames are teaming up for the debut of their new Indiana Jones series. Earlier this morning, Bestheda confirmed via tweet that it has something sweet cooking in the oven.

The teaser doesn’t show us too much of what to expect, but it’s enough to get us excited. As of now, we don’t know the platforms or launch date. One thing is for sure, there’s a new explorer on the block. Make way Lara Croft and Nathan Drake. Indiana Jones is here to reclaim his rightful throne of exploration and treasure-seeking.

It’s confirmed that Bethesda’s take on Indiana Jones will feature a unique and original story, and it’s not an adaptation of a previous title or movie.

The last Indiana Jones we had was 2009’s Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings. This beast was on the Wii and PlayStation 2 and eventually made its way to the Nintendo DS. Other than that, we don’t have any big Indiana Jones games.

Now that Bethesda is steering the helm, we should expect a high-quality, big-budget series that will revitalize the once popular series.

On Monday, Lucasfilm announced Lucasfilm Games would be in charge of all Lucasfilm properties moving forward. Bethesda’s Indiana Jones will be the first game to be included under the new label. We’re excited to see which new games Lucasfilm Games will be producing in 2021 and beyond.
