Outriders had an initial release date of February 2nd sadly we won’t be getting that with news from the official Outriders Twitter account that Outriders delayed release date is now set for April 1st.
Luckily not all news is bad as we are going to get a free demo of the game on February 25th. This will at least give us a chance to check out the game and get a real feel for it before the eventual release date of April 1st. I think it’s safe to assume it won’t just be a cruel April fools joke but we will hold our breathe just to be sure.
If you were unaware Outriders is an upcoming third-person shooter from People Can Fly and published by Square Enix. Square Enix themselves describe the game as a “drop-in-drop-out co-op shooter set in an original, dark and desperate sci-fi universe.” I think the game overall looks really interesting and will be worth a try for any shooter fan. I always love a co-op game as playing with friends is always a highlight of my gaming experiences.
Truly I think Square Enix is making the right move by delaying the game. We have seen way too many times games get pushed out when they aren’t ready with Cyberpunk being the very obvious and most recent case. While I do understand people being slightly annoyed with the situation we as a community should be understanding and want the better output and be willing to wait for it.
