We’re all eagerly awaiting the launch of the PS5. As we all know, the initial launch of a new console doesn’t usually boast a huge game library. Sony has confirmed an updated list of new PS5 game releases expected for early 2021, with other titles confirmed to the later half of the new year.
Updated PS5 Games Release Dates
In Sony’s new PS5 launch ad, they updated the launch windows for some juicy new PS5 games. You’ll see Sony mention they expect Ratchet & Clack: Rift Apart, Gran Turismo 7, and Returnal to arrive in the first half of 2021. Meanwhile, Horizon Forbidden West is “anticipated” to arrive in the second half of 2021.
The earlier the better. Horizon Zero Dawn was one my favorite PS4 games. Honestly, it was one of my favorite games of all time. There’s something about taking down giant mecha dinos that’s hard to beat. HFW will for sure be in my list of most anticipated games of 2021.
We already were aware that Horizon Forbidden West wouldn’t be a launch title, no matter how much we all wanted it to be. At least Sony is being honest and not getting our hopes up.
